First Lady, Leisa Rogers

Lady Leisa is the eldest daughter of two girls and two boys born to Deacon Berdies and the late Mrs. Roxie Philmore. She attended Columbus City Schools and graduated from Westerville South High School. Lady Leisa studied Child Psychology at The Ohio State University and later completed her undergraduate studies in Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education at Harris Stowe University in St. Louis, Missouri. She worked as a teacher for the Child Development Council of Franklin County and for Columbus City Schools. She earned a Master of Theology from the University of North Carolina and is currently continuing her studies in Leadership Education at Lindenwood University. Lady Leisa is a member of the Phi Delta Kappa Sorority, Alpha Nu Chapter in St. Louis, Missouri.

Lady Leisa served as the First Lady of Faith Tabernacle COGIC and the W.I.N.G.S Women’s Ministry Lead Servant for more than eighteen years. She also founded the beYOUtyfull GIRL program for adolescent girls. She now serves the Mt. Calvary COGIC as First Lady, Youth Sunday School President and Praise Dance Ministry Leader. She is also the Administrative and Artistic Director of “the beYOUty school” where she “Grooms Great Girls with Class!”

Lady Leisa has been the devoted wife of Pastor Charles H. Rogers Jr. Married more than thirty-five years and is the proud mother of three children; Sharon Michelle, Shandon Charles and Shauon Anthony. She is most proud of her three grand kings Josiah, Judah, and Joshua.

Lady Leisa loves the Lord and more than anything wants Him to be pleased with her life.  She is not only a teacher by profession, but is a teacher at heart. Her teaching philosophy is: “The World is a Classroom”, and she displays her God given gifts and talents through her love for children. Lady Leisa is the epitome of creativity and ingenuity, and she is loved and admired by all who meet her and witness her inspirational presentations.
