Dr. Dannette Fishburne Scott

Dr. Dannette Fishburne Scott is married to Bishop William Scott, former pastor of the Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ and former Jurisdictional Prelate of Illinois Southeast Jurisdiction. Bishop William and Dr. Dannette Fishburne Scott retired November 2017. They live in Jacksonville Florida, and are members of the West Jacksonville Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Gary Hall, Sr.

Dr. Scott graduated with honors from Bethune Cookman College and Howard University. She has also studied at the University of Graz, Graz, Austria. Dr. Scott has worked as a social worker, college instructor, administrator of social programs, as well as a business consultant to 501-c-3 not for profit organizations. Her work experience includes teaching at her Alma Mata, Bethune-Cookman College now a University. 

Most of her life has been spent in the ministry via television, Women’s Conferences, radio, writing, audio visual ministry, and numerous personal appearances which include being a “Charisma Conference” speaker. As a worldwide evangelist, Dr. Scott has traveled across the United States and foreign countries exercising her gifts and talents through ministry and administration.

Dr. Scott is a recipient of many outstanding awards and citations and has been selected to appear in five editions (3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th) “Two Thousand Notable American Women”, in recognition of past achievements and outstanding service to the local, state, and nation-wide communities. In 2011, Dr. Scott received the Annual Distinguished Citizen Award, “A Tribute to First Ladies” from the St. Louis Argus Newspaper.

Dr. Scott was selected by the Whole Truth magazine as one of the Church of God in Christ’s 150 Influential Women for 2015.

Dr. Scott publishes a Health Newsletter every month. In September 2019, Dr. Scott started,  “My Journey”, a monthly conference call  dedicated to health pursuits.
